The Book Chat (1) (rereading)

Photobucket
The book chat is hosted by Sweet Green Tangerine & I Believe in Story The book Chat is a weekly discussion that takes place every Thursday. I haven't been interested in a lot of these, but I've decide to do this feature.

Today's Topic

Do you ever pick up a book on your shelf, that you've already read, and just read it again?

I have to first start out by saying I don't very often reread books because in all honesty there is so many new books out and so many books I want to read that I just don't have the time.

When I find a book that I fall in love with I will reread it in the future. I only can think of a couple instances where I have reread a book which will shared below. I believe that reread is a great way to rediscover the story and fall in love with the book all over again.

Sometime during sixth grade I reread Little House in the Big Woods. The complete story is in my post about Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Then during the summer before I entered High School I reread the entire Love Comes Softly series plus the tag along series A Prairie Legacy. Coming to a total of 12 books during the summer. That is really good for me because I read 7 books last summer. I share the full story in my post about the author, Janette Oke. I love this series so much and I wish I could just make everybody read this wonderful series, but I know not everybody thinks like I do.

The final memory I have of reread is this year, 2013, reread The Time Traveler's Wife. I just really want to reread the book to pick up the parts I missed and experience the story all over again. I loved every minute I spent reading that book which is probably why it only took me five days to finish a 540 page novel.

I don't overly reread, but I like the idea. See you next week to talk about Romance Novels.
Thanks for Reading and leave your thoughts below.
